My first socks = there are benefits to being too sick to drive

There are benefits to being too sick to drive to work. Even though I was online and on conference calls most of the day, I was able to do something that I cannot in the office - I was able to knit. The result is finishing my first pair of socks. These socks are made from Yarn Nerd 1500 MHz Sport Sock yarn in Bamboo Grove colorway. Adam, as he self proclaimed, is my first hand dyed yarn enabler. :) It's been all downhill (or is that uphill) into hand dyed sock yarn since. LOL As these were my first socks after the sock class booties, I chose a stockinette pattern from Knit Socks!. It is a good book for a first time sock knitter.
These socks are not part of the knit along 4 Socks a Season, but they needed to get finished so I could start the Spring season socks.

If there is anyone out there wondering about our cat, she is doing ok. She's up about 5 scratches and I'm up 3 rounds of anitbiotic into her mouth so we're pretty even. She was feeling so frisky today that she knocked the screen door off the track on the deck and was working on going outside. Luckily, I was in the room and able to stop her.

Off to rest and hope that finished socks heal. :)

We should all work from home. Work and knit - I could do that!

WOW! Good job. My first socks were nothing like that at all. You should be proud of them.

I love the socks, you did such a great job!

And I'm very proud to be your first hand-dyed yarn enabler. It's a slippery slope from here!
